Derby City Calls showcased on KY Afield
I hope everyone enjoyed the KY Afield episode that aired on Sept. 19th and 20th. I think Tim Farmer did a great job of tying in how music and hunting go together. I want everyone to remember that we are a young company. We have been working extremly hard since starting this company in early June. We have several more designs we are working on. One, as you might have seen on Ky Afield, is the Turkey Foot design. It shows great promise. We have had some good reviews so far, but we want to do a little more research and development on it before we put it into production. Look for this Turkey Foot design in the very near future. We hope you like what you have seen so far. Give our calls a try this year. We think you will be pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of Derby City Calls.

2009 Little Warrior Fish Fry
Little Warrior fish fry / fundraiser was held at the UBGF running grounds on Saturday, August 1st 2009 . This was the first year the event was brought to Kentucky. Thanks to our special “guests of honor” Jess and Gladys Yates, for all you have given to the UBGF and DSGDF! The event raised $3,000.00 dollars for both federations. There were alot of great food and fellowship among beaglers from all over the country. Brent Stoner with Derby City Game Calls showed up with some prototypes of our new turkey calls, and they were a big hit. A big thanks go out to Hall of Fame beagler Sam Butler and Dave Condon for shooting a video for Derby City Game Calls and for the orders received for turkey calls. Thanks again for all the support the beaglers have showed for our new game call company.

2009 Silver Creek Beagle Club Annual Picnic
Silver Creek Beagle Club had there summer picnic July 17 and 18 2009 . Derby City Game Calls put on a youth turkey calling contest. Thanks to Sam Butler for emceeing the contest. 1st place went to Isaac McCulloh ,2nd place went to Dustin Sabelhause, 3rd went to Gregory Nichols III, 4th place to Colton Grass and NBQ went to Kynadie Kemna, each placement received a Derby City Game Call. Thanks to Ritchie Romario for judging the contest and for everybody that came to watch the event. Big thanks to Silver Creek for letting Derby City Game Calls set up and show our calls and to those who bought one to take home!! We’ll be back next year.
